Information involved in a visit
The website does not run advertising pixels. Like most hosted websites, the hosting, security, and content-delivery services that make it available may process technical request information such as an IP address, browser type, requested page, referring page, and timestamp. That information is used to deliver, operate, and protect the site. Assessment pages use Vercel's BotID service to help protect report submissions from automated abuse.
Website analytics and session recordings
We use PostHog to understand which pages visitors use, how they arrived, where assessments stop, and whether a visit leads to a saved assessment or a confirmed booking. Analytics starts automatically, without an acceptance banner. It uses a browser identifier to recognize returning visits and records page views, general navigation, and assessment steps. Campaign labels, referring domains, and landing pages help us attribute visits and conversions, with a 90-day attribution lookback.
PostHog also records eligible website sessions so we can review how the site works. Inputs are masked, and assessment answers, contact details, calculator figures, private business text, and generated results are hidden from recordings. We do not record network request or response bodies or browser console content. Assessment-step events do not include the answers you selected.
After an assessment is saved or a booking is confirmed, we may connect the visit history to the contact record for the email you supplied. Anonymous browser identifiers cannot reliably identify everyone or join activity across different devices. We group activity by observed actions, such as reading pricing or starting an assessment. We do not use these groups to change the website for you at present.
Use the analytics control in the footer to turn analytics and recordings off for this browser. We also honor Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track browser signals. Opting out preserves your assessment drafts and does not prevent using the site, requesting a report, or booking a conversation. The preference is saved in this browser; repeat it on another device or after clearing browser storage. Opting out stops new collection and suppresses pending conversions associated with the identifiers available to us. Contact us to request deletion of earlier records.
Information you choose to send
The scheduling form asks for your name, email address, the kind of conversation you need, and a short description. When you continue to available times, those answers are sent to Byte Bot's scheduling service at calendar.bytebot.io. It saves a form response even if you do not finish booking, and uses your answers to choose a meeting type and fill in the booking details. It also receives the technical information needed to load the calendar.
If you confirm a booking, your answers become part of its details and calendar invitation. You can review the prefilled details before confirming. If you email us instead, we receive the address, message, and any information you include.
Links to LinkedIn, GitHub, the scheduling service, and other third-party sites take you to services with their own privacy practices. Review those services' notices if you want to understand how they handle your information.
How Byte Bot uses and shares information
We use correspondence and scheduling information to respond, prepare for conversations, provide requested information, and keep ordinary business records. We use service providers for website hosting, security, email, contact management, scheduling, and analytics. PostHog processes website analytics in our United States project. We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the site, Byte Bot, or another person. We do not sell personal information gathered through this site.
Opportunity assessments and emailed reports
When you request a report, we receive your email, the assessment answers, business context, and any client or business label you enter. We also record the assessment entry page and campaign information, including campaign labels supplied in the link you followed. We use these details to calculate and deliver the report, keep a history of completed assessments, and refer to the assessment if you contact us.
We save your contact information and completed assessment in Attio, our contact management service, before sending your report. Resend processes your email address and the report to deliver the email. Requesting a report does not sign you up to a mailing list, and we do not sell your email or assessment information. If you are a coach, use your own email and share only client information you are authorized to provide.
Drafts saved in your browser
The assessment uses browser storage to remember your progress, answers, the email and optional label you enter, delivery attempts, and calculator figures. This lets you return to the assessment or retry a report without starting again. Your assessment answers and contact details are sent to Byte Bot when you ask for a report. Calculator figures stay in your browser and are not included in that submission or your emailed report.
Choosing "Start fresh" or "Start a new assessment" clears the current assessment's draft from that browser. Business and coach versions keep separate drafts. You can also clear this website's browser storage to remove all local drafts. Clearing a draft does not delete a report already emailed or a completed assessment saved by Byte Bot. Contact us to request deletion of those records. On a shared device, clear your assessment when you finish.
Retention and your choices
We keep correspondence, scheduling, contact, and assessment records only as long as they are useful for the conversation, an ongoing business relationship, or ordinary legal and accounting needs. Hosting providers control the retention of their technical logs under their own practices.
You can contact us to ask what information you have sent us, request a correction, or ask us to delete it. Some records may need to be retained for legal or business-record purposes. Depending on where you live, local law may give you additional rights.

This notice covers the public marketing website at bytebot.io. Separate agreements and notices govern information Byte Bot handles while providing services to a client. We may update this page when the website or its data practices change, and the date above will show the latest revision.
